Hand Coded Web SitesWe can create hand-coded, bespoke websites for clients if they require high levels of design and layout configuration. We can also put a backend system in place using Adobe Contribute to allow the client the ability to update and manage their website. Although it is not a true CMS (content management system) it is still highly flexible and allows greater freedom in terms of instigating a wide range of visual design features. Running a website this way demands that you or a staff member has an understanding of what CSS and HTML do on a web page. We can provide training to you and your staff to get you up and running with the software and provide a support and maintenance package to make sure everything is kept running smoothly. We can also provide you or your company with elegant image websites to supply your customers with information about the services or products you provide - a site that may need little updating and that we can build and maintain for you. Bideford Town Council - Maintained by the Client! The Bideford Town Council website was built from scratch and was designed to use Adobe Contribute for updating and maintenance by a member of staff who had already worked running a company intranet using Adobe Dreamweaver. It has a very flexible template system that can be used to create new pages - styles can be easily applied to all of the various page elements and the software allows for the creation of new pages - we created a logical folder structure for storing pages and creating easily accessible libraries of images and other resources. We also provided the council with a number of Flash galleries and a 360 degree viewing module. These elements are provided as extra and are usually driven with XML text files reading from image folders - it may require a short extra training session to train staff to update this kinds of module. We would recommend this kind of site to companies and organisations that have the staff and time to run a more sophisticated web presence. It is an investment for the future and the process of web development can be a great tool for the training of staff and adding a creative aspect to the work carried out by those updating your web site. Bideford Town Council also publish a full colour quarterly newsletter so they needed professional publishing software to enable them to create the newsletter and deliver the artwork to their printers. They needed software to deal with image manipulation and to create simple graphics for use in making posters and other simple print artefacts. They decided that they would purchase the Adobe CS suite for this purpose which solved a number of their publishing problems - they can now publish properly compressed photographs on their website and deliver finished documents to their printers - saving time and money. They are currently developing their corporate identity to meet the standards usually seen in a commercial setting. Great News for a small but fast growing town in North Devon! We provided them with their initial training program and continue to give them support and advice as they develop their skill sets and ability to use the various solutions we put in place for them. We are helping the council to develop that all important asset in the new media world - a high quality and recognisable brand - a sign the local residents and visitors to the town know and trust!
Yoyo Cleaning Company Ltd - Looking after the Client! The Yoyo Cleaning Company needed a complete overhaul of their corporate identity - they were serving large national clients in the retail sector and winning prestigous contracts in the public sector. They needed a contemporary and friendly corporate identity that could be used both for their corporate stationary and for use on a web site - and, significantly, to optimise their ability to advertise their services through the small fleet of vans operating in the local area. We loved the name and created a logo that utilised vivid colour, bold and contemporary typography and simple graphic elements to make it an instantly recognisable and attractive addition to the transport liveries seen in and around our local town. We then approached the construction of their website using the conceptual framework we had established during our consultations to create an online presence that expressed their business ethos as a friendly, efficient and, importantly for this area of business, environmentally aware company. The site was designed as an image/brochureware website that provided a complete picture of all the various services they provide - it was also to give customers and prospective clients the feeling that the Yoyo Cleaning Company was more than willing to go the extra mile for their customers by providing extra cleaning information and a small PDF brochure detailing some environmentally friendly ways of running and cleaning the home. We researched, gathered and collated all the materials and information to populate the site which kept David and Philippa free to do what they do best - run their business! |
